Кроме того, Владимир Путин считает необходимым пересмотреть критерии, по которым все сотрудники юрлица только по факту совместной работы признаются группой лиц по предварительному сговору. Также, по его мнению, при расследовании экономических преступлений необходимо жестко ограничить возможность неоднократного продления срока содержания под стражей. Как отмечает президент, иногда это происходит просто из-за нехватки времени на проведение необходимых экспертиз или затягивания следственных действий.
