Правительство РФ установило1 величину прожиточного минимума на 2021 год. Его величина в целом по РФ на душу населения составляет 11 653 руб., для трудоспособного населения – 12 702 руб., пенсионеров – 10 022 руб., детей – 11 303 руб.
Напомним, с этого года в России вступил в силу закон, по которому прожиточный минимум будет исчисляться исходя из медианного дохода, а не на основе расчета потребительской корзины. Кроме того, прожиточный минимум будет рассчитываться сразу на год в отличие от прежнего порядка, когда он рассчитывался на каждый квартал. Указанный закон также предусматривает, что МРОТ устанавливается в размере не ниже величины прожиточного минимума трудоспособного населения в целом по РФ на очередной год и не ниже МРОТ, установленного в текущем году.

Показатель прожиточного минимума применяется при предоставлении мер господержки граждан, к примеру, при заключении социального контракта, при расчете ежемесячного пособия на ребенка в возрасте до трех лет, выплаты на детей от трех до семи лет из малообеспеченных семей, следует из правительственного сообщения.
