Подписан закон, направленный на увеличение численности военнослужащих-контрактников (Федеральный закон от 1 мая 2017 г. № 91-ФЗ). Документом расширяется перечень лиц, которые смогут заключить контракт на прохождение военной службы. В частности, это право получили военнослужащие-срочники, получившие до призыва среднее профобразование, а также мужчины, не пребывающие в запасе с аналогичным уровнем образования. Речь идет о лицах, поступающих службу по контракту в Вооруженные Силы, войска нацгвардии, спасательные воинские формирования МЧС России, СВР России и органы госохраны.
Отметим, что в настоящий момент таким правом обладают:
военнослужащие, у которых заканчивается предыдущий контракт о прохождении военной службы; военнослужащие, проходящие военную службу по призыву и имеющие высшее образование, а также военнослужащие, проходящие военную службу по призыву и прослужившие не менее трех месяцев; граждане, пребывающие в запасе; мужчины, не пребывающие в запасе и получившие высшее образование; женщины, не пребывающие в запасе (п. 1 ст. 34 Федерального закона от 28 марта 1998 г. № 53-ФЗ «О воинской обязанности и военной службе»).
