Минобрнауки России определило перечень из 72 олимпиад на 2018/2019 учебный год. Хотя в прошлом учебном году их число достигало 97 (приказ Минобрнауки России от 30 августа 2017 г. № 866 «Об утверждении перечня олимпиад школьников и их уровней на 2017/18 учебный год»). По-прежнему будут, в частности, проводиться: многопрофильная олимпиада ПСТГУ «Аксиос» III уровня по обществознанию и литературе, Всероссийский конкурс научных работ школьников «Юниор» по биологии, а также естественным и инженерным наукам I-III уровней, Кутафинская олимпиада школьников по праву II уровня и ряд других (приказ Минобрнуки России от 28 августа 2018 г. № 32н «Об утверждении перечня олимпиад школьников и их уровней на 2018/19 учебный год»1).
Вместе с тем с этого учебного года больше не будет проводиться Всероссийская Сеченовская олимпиада школьников III уровня по медицине, зато школьники смогут принять участие во Всероссийской олимпиаде по финансовой грамотности, финансовому рынку и защите прав потребителей финансовых услуг II уровня по экономическому профилю.
