Правительство РФ выделило из резервного фонда 4,25 млрд руб. на развитие вузов (распоряжение от 13 мая 2017 года № 925-р1). Из них 3,15 млрд руб. будут направлены Минобрнауки России для предоставления субсидий бюджетным и автономным учреждениям на финансирование оказания государственных услуг. А 1,1 млрд руб. – Минкультуры России на реализацию программ развития подведомственных образовательных учреждений высшего образования. Речь идет о проведении государственной культурной политики, сохранения и развития художественного образования, а также политики в сфере образования, эффективного функционирования системы образования и осуществления образовательной деятельности в рамках государственной программы «Развитие образования» на 2013 — 2020 годы.
Уточняется, что эти средства будут потрачены на расходы по содержанию имущества, оплате коммунальных и транспортных услуг, услуг связи и т. д.
