Как отметил Мэр в своем блоге, обычно длящиеся одну неделю школьные каникулы решено продлить на две недели по рекомендации санитарных врачей с учетом роста простудных заболеваний и выявленных заражений коронавирусом. Каникулярный период будет использован как возможность снизить динамику заболеваемости. В связи с чем родителям рекомендовано разъяснить школьникам о необходимости провести это время дома или на даче, гулять во дворе или ближайшем парке и воздержаться от поездок в общественном транспорте и посещения торговых центров.
