Банк России будет разрабатывать национальную виртуальную валюту (она же — криптовалюта). Об этом сегодня сообщила замглавы ЦБ РФ Ольга Скоробогатова, выступая в рамках Петербургского международного экономического форума (ПМЭФ-2017).
«Над этим мы уже начали работать, — завила она участникам форума. — На самом деле, все регуляторы пришли к мысли, что национальную виртуальную валюту делать надо. Это только вопрос конкретного времени». По ее словам, с предложением — каким образом определять, что такое частная цифровая валюта и как ее регулировать на уровне государства — Банк России совместно с другими ведомствами может выйти в Госдуму уже в ходе осенней сессии нижней палаты парламента.
В свою очередь первый зампред Банка России Сергей Швецов на одной из сессий форума заявил о том, что одна из российских бирж уже рассматривает возможность запуска торгов криптовалютами. И пока идет дискуссия о том, считать криптовалюту товаром, или нет.
Напомним, что о планах эмитировать национальную электронную валюту ранее говорили представители банковского сообщества целого ряда стран.
Самой известной и наиболее популярной криптовалютой в мире на сегодняшний день является биткоин, запущенный в электронный оборот в январе 2009 года. На данный момент стоимость одного биткоина составляет около 140 тысяч рублей.
