Документ содержит комплекс мер, направленных на создание в России отечественных брендов экологически чистой сельскохозяйственной продукции, сырья и продовольствия. Он подготовлен Минсельхозом России по согласованию с профильными органами власти и ведомствами.
В частности, в перечень мероприятий включены:
разработка законопроекта «Об экологически чистой сельскохозяйственной продукции, сырье и продовольствии»; утверждение национальных стандартов, определяющих технические и технологические требования к экологически чистой продукции; создание сети испытательных лабораторий для оценки качества и соответствия продукции заявленным характеристикам и требованиям; проведение паспортизации земель сельхозназначения, пригодных для органического земледелия (их планируется вносить в отдельный цифровой реестр); подготовка специальной концепции российского бренда экологически чистой продукции и его суббрендов в целях идентификации, продвижения и большей узнаваемости отечественной органики на внутреннем и внешнем рынках.
Отмечается, что полномочия по контролю за обращением экологически чистой продукции будут закреплены за Россельхознадзором и Роспотребнадзором.

По словам заместителя Председателя Правительства РФ Алексея Гордеева, введение российского зеленого бренда поможет бороться с массовой фальсификацией экологически чистых продуктов питания. «С одной стороны, это позволит кратно повысить уровень доверия покупателей к российской экологически чистой продукции. С другой – защитить добросовестных производителей и вытеснить с рынка серый бизнес, спекулирующий темой органики и поставляющий на прилавки магазинов всякого рода био- и экофальсификат», – подчеркнул вице-премьер.
