Так, в 2024 году меры социальной поддержки на основании одного лишь заявления или проактивно (вообще без заявлений) будут предоставляться 60% семей. Планируется также развитие «серебряного волонтерства» для вовлечения пожилых граждан в общественную жизнь. Отдельное внимание уделят доступному арендному жилью для семей с детьми, а также эффективности взимания алиментов.

Для снижения материнской и младенческой смертности и улучшения репродуктивного здоровья предполагается расширить неонатальный и пренатальный скрининги на наследственные и врожденные заболевания. Тем, кто страдает заболеваниями репродуктивной системы, станет доступнее ЭКО.
Чтобы снизить смертность и повысить продолжительность жизни, Правительство РФ намерено провести анализ доступности и эффективности медицинской помощи при лечении самых распространенных причин смертности – сердечных болезней и рака. Будут также проводить больше высокотехнологичных операций, в том числе по трансплантации органов и тканей.
Два раздела плана посвящены вопросам сохранения здоровья людей старшего поколения и тех, кто трудится на производстве. Кроме того, в документе есть блок, где сконцентрированы мероприятия, направленные на формирование мотивации к здоровому образу жизни, к занятиям физкультурой и спортом.
Сама Концепция демографической политики Российской Федерации на период до 2025 года была утверждена еще в 2007 году (Указ Президента РФ от 9 октября 2007 г. № 1351).
