Согласно абз. 6 подп. 9 п. 20 Положения о МВД России, действующему с 21 декабря 2016 года, министр внутренних дел определяет порядок ведения личных дел сотрудников органов внутренних дел, федеральных государственных гражданских служащих и работников системы МВД России. В связи с этим министерство представило для общественного обсуждения проект соответствующего приказа, определяющего, какие документы приобщаются к личному делу указанных служащих. Так, в указанный перечень планируется включить 21 позицию, а также другие документы, которые работник пожелал предоставить. В частности, речь идет о:

Получить доступ анкетных данных, собственноручно заполненных работником при поступлении на работу по специальной форме; собственноручно написанной автобиографии или резюме; фотографии (анфас); копиях паспорта, СНИЛС, документов, подтверждающих заключение брака (развода) и наличие детей; трудовом договоре, дополнительном соглашении к нему; должностной инструкции, либо других документах, определяющих трудовые обязанности работника; копиях документов по воинскому учету (для граждан, пребывающих в запасе, и лиц, подлежащих призыву на военную службу); копиях документов об образовании и (или) квалификации; наличии ученой степени, ученого звания; выписках из приказов о приеме на работу, переводах, увольнении; поощрениях и взысканиях; заявлениях, объяснительных и служебных записках работника и т. д.
Поясняется, что речь идет о личных делах работников центрального аппарата МВД России, а также территориальных органов, образовательных, научных, медицинских (в том числе санаторно-курортных) организаций системы министерства, его окружных управлений материально-технического снабжения, загранаппарата МВД России, организаций культуры, физкультурно-спортивных организаций, редакций печатных и электронных СМИ.
Общественное обсуждение документа завершится 15 августа.
