Минтруд России планирует проиндексировать социальные пенсии в текущем году на 3,4%. Напомним, индексация социальных пенсий производится ежегодно с 1 апреля с учетом роста прожиточного минимума пенсионера за прошедший год. В 2020 году коэффициент индексации социальных пенсий составлял 1,061%. Отмечается1, что размер индексации пенсий в 2021 году определяется как соотношение величины прожиточного минимума пенсионера за 2020 год (9 308 руб.) к такому же показателю за 2019 год (9 002 руб.).
«В результате проведения индексации средний размер социальной пенсии составит с 1 апреля 2021 года 10 183 рублей», – говорится в сообщении. В случае если социальная пенсия меньше регионального прожиточного минимума пенсионера, предусмотрена социальная доплата, которая доводит размер пенсии до этого уровня.

Из информации Минтруда России также следует, что для целей индексации социальных пенсий и пенсий по государственному пенсионному обеспечению из федерального бюджета будет направлено 12,8 млрд руб. до конца года. Всего индексация коснется 3,9 млн граждан.
Социальные пенсии устанавливаются в связи с необходимостью предоставления гражданам, не приобретшим право по каким-либо причинам на страховую пенсию, материальной поддержки при наступлении престарелого возраста, инвалидности или в случае потери кормильца (ст. 2 Федерального закона от 15 декабря 2001 г. № 166-ФЗ «О государственном пенсионном обеспечении в Российской Федерации).
