Председатель Правительства РФ Михаил Мишустин подписал распоряжение о выделении из федерального бюджета более 5 млрд руб. субъектам РФ на нужды пациентов, получающих медицинскую помощь в амбулаторных условиях (Распоряжение Правительства РФ от 1 октября 2021 г. № 2761-р1). Благодаря этому более 1,5 млн граждан смогут приобрести бесплатные препараты по рецептам, выданным им лечащим врачом. Денежные средства поступят из резервного фонда Правительства РФ.
Данное решение было принято на заседании президиума Координационного совета при Правительстве по борьбе с распространением новой коронавирусной инфекции на территории РФ, состоявшемся 4 октября 2021 года в Международный день врача. В ходе указанной встречи Председатель Правительства поблагодарил медицинских работников за их труд, а также обратил внимание коллег на рост заболеваемости COVID-19 в стране и необходимость принятия мер для поддержания стабильной работы отечественной системы здравоохранения.
